Despite my initial concerns, Jessy was extremely easy to work with, and with a few reference pictures easily drew up a very nice pattern. She also sent me multiple progress pictures, as well as keeping me up to date on how the plush was coming along, and requesting specifics as to what I preferred. Overall, I am exceptionally pleased with the work, and the recipient was thrilled to bits when she received her plushie. I'm a huge snob about nerd merchandise, so I knew this was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I commissioned her for Spock originally, and then realized it would be wrong of me not to give him a Kirk to hang out with. Now with both of them sitting here, I am very glad I did! These plushies are absolutely excellent AND they came with a little Phaser and Tricorder to keep them amused! "When I was at my first CTcon I was passing through Artist Alley and I saw a very interesting table.  A woman there was dressed as Midna (which being a huge Zelda fan hooked me even more). It was there I found out about So and Sew plushies. I saw Link and Ichigo sitting there and for 300 rupees for Link, I had a good laugh. Also being hooked into Bleach I wanted an Ichigo too so I made sure to buy both of them.  A few years later I decided with my girlfriend we were going to get Plushies of our favorite Sailor Scouts (her Jupiter, mine being Mercury). It would be a long wait however it was definitely worth it as I just got her and she looks as stunning as ever. If I decide to have another plushie made I will DEFINITELY go to So and Sew first.  Jemi's work shows her passion and caring for when she makes her plushies. She can take a while, but you cannot rush fine art.  That is also the reason they come out so well is that she NEVER rushes, so every plushie is done in as much detail as she can. I am definitely a satisfied customer and am very happy to have had met and also purchased from So and Sew Plushies."

"Aight, so - a few years ago, at ConnectiCon 2007 (I think), I met the lovely Jemi-Linked, who was in the Artist's Alley selling custom-made plushies. I really took a liking to them, and decided to commission some characters from her, the first being...I think Nastasia, from Super Paper Mario (far left), followed shortly by Yo-Yo from Jet Grind Radio (second from left). Since then I've commissioned five more plushies from her (four of which you see here; the other was a gift for suicidalsora and is currently in Texas).

Let me tell you: there is so much care and love invested in these plushes that it's well worth revisiting her. You can visit the account created for the plushies at SoandSewPlushies, and she'll make a plush out of almost everything. From Link to Nightcrawler, Sephiroth to Pit, the most popular to the most obscure, even original characters or plush versions of yourself, she's going to make it happen. Don't let the long cue scare you off, because she's definitely worth the wait.
If you want a custom-made plushie, I wouldn't recommend anybody other than Jemi.
