Nov. 11 --> Finally done! Shipping him out tomorrow!

Nov. 10 --> scrambling to finish some detail work on the mask and fan. That's the thing sometimes - the actual clothing took about 8 hours total - went very quickly - and when you have to start waiting for things to dry, is when I lose some time.

Time has flown! Holy cow – it feels like I just wrote October’s update. I wish I had more to talk about, or more progress to show…what can I say – some plushies take a lot more time than others. I’m so excited to show Pit off, though – he looks phenomenal.

I’ve been thinking…it’s still a bit in the future, but I know that Con registrations are coming up, especially AnimeBoston, which is in April, last I heard. I’ve been thinking that if I’m not done with my commission list, that I might sit out this year. I don’t think it’s fair to keep adding people to the list, to make the queue longer and longer – to have nothing to sell, no inventory, just a promise to make a fantastic plushie. Some of you brilliant people have been in my queue for a very long time, and I feel the time 10 times more than you do.

So that’s just something I’m mulling over… I love AnimeBoston and ConnectiCon – so this will be an incentive; however I refuse to rush a plushie. You may wait a long time, however, the plushie will be something that I am proud of, something that I’m a little sad to have to give away, something I hope that you will love.

I appreciate and love your patience as much as I love air.

Monthly Update:

New Folks, welcome! Please read through!

Please do check the News section on my DA front page. I update it frequently with my progress to let you know how I'm doing and that I haven't forgotten ANY of you!

I’ve arranged the queue of plushies in order; based on payment, rush jobs, pre-con orders, order in which I received them, and the like.

Because of the amount of detail I put into the plushies, I have to work on one plushie at a time, so it may take awhile, however, you will receive a beautiful plushie.

If you have a deadline, let me know and I’ll adjust the queue!

If you have requested a commission, please check your email or DA account often, as I will be barraging you with questions about your plushie or shipping information!

I’m going to try to email the NEXT person on the queue when I start a doll, to let them know he/she is next. So if you’re checking the queue and you see you’re coming up, check your email or DA account for an email from me!

As a gentle, friendly reminder: If you have your plushie and haven’t paid, please do so - no rush, but I am a poor, starving, artist…guilt, guilt, guilt.
OR keep me in the loop as to what’s going on – can’t pay now because life kicked you in the shins? Let me know – I’ve been there too. And then I won’t have to send the attack dogs after you...

Commissions:

Pricing:
A So and Sew Plushie starts at $40, which includes: materials, time spent, and shipping. Prices will vary depending on the difficulty of the doll. For example:

Sora: [link] would be $60 because he is very detailed and very difficult, including his accessories.
Voldemort: [link] would be $55,
Ariel [link] would be $50,
Ichigo [link] would be $45,
Chi [link] would be $40.

It all depends on the degree of difficulty, how much time they take, painting, accessories, etc.

Payment and Shipping:
I will ship your doll AFTER I have recieved payment. You may pay via cash, check, money order, or my PayPal account at soandsewplushies@hotmail.com .


Established Characters:

Give me a name and I'll look them up. The internet is great resource and I can usually find all the pictures I need. Just be sure to be super specific, for example: If you want Sakura from “Card Captor Sakura,” there are a LOT of designs to choose from! So, be sure to let me know which version you want.

If your character is from a book, I'll work closely with you and make the doll how YOU want to see them. Take Voldemort [link] , for example. I worked with the girl who commissioned him and made him how she saw him – he’s wearing the suit from the movies, and had red eyes from the book.

Add-ons and Accessories

As you may have noticed, I do accessories! Swords, shields, necklaces, tails, ears, glasses, and more! I can do just about whatever you need, just keep in mind, it may affect the price. Also, if you have a specific take on a character, for example, you prefer your Sasuke with kitty ears or your Legolas with scars all over his face, please let me know and I'll make it happen!

Original Characters:

I'd be honored to be a part of bringing your character to life! Just give me as much information about your brain child as you can. Here are some suggestions:

*Pictures are the easiest for us to use:

o If you’re an artist or know an artist, send us a drawing of the character!

o Colored or color-indication, please.

o A full body front, back, and sides

o Close-ups on details

o Pictures / Drawings of any accessories: swords, jewelry, purse, cigarettes, etc.

o Pictures / Drawings of any physical traits: scars, whiskers, beards, tattoos, etc.

o If you are unable to get a picture of your character, I'll need a DETAILED physical description, including: Hair color, length, style, skin color, clothing, length of sleeves, pants, etc., as well as any accessories.

o I do self-plushies as well! If you want your own little doppelganger, send me a picture with front, back, and sides. Example: [link]

Prices: Take a look at some of the Original Character Commissions to get a feel of how I price. It’s the same as Established Characters. For example: Ross Rapier [link] would be $40 and Neelie [link] would be $60. It all depends on the degree of difficulty, how much time they take, painting, accessories, etc.


By the way:

- The trademark plushie face is just a pair of beautiful round eyes, usually without nose or mouth. There are exceptions, for example: Nightcrawler [link] , Voldemort [link] , Jack Skellington [link] , Freakdood [link] . But generally, I won't add expressions or mouths. Eyes are usually always black (exception: [link] and [link] ). You can have other colors, of course, but they do not tend to look as good.

- At this point in time I do NOT make plushies that aren’t human or basic human form. Animals, mythical creatures, and anything else that does not have that human-esc shape cannot be made. Furries with snouts and furry faces are not suggested either; the designs just don’t allow for that.

- Shipping and handling costs are included in the price.

- The plushies are extremely labor intensive and are made with intricate care. Therefore, it may take a while to get a plushie completed. But don’t worry! I'll be sending you updates to let you know how it’s coming along. And you can always check the NEWS updates.

- I'm very flexible and are happy to take on challenges, so don’t be afraid! Just ask me and we’ll work out whatever we can!
